This file should only be used to install the 3CP5699A modem in Windows 95 version A. This file will update your existing drivers for use with Windows 95A. To check your version of Windows, right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties. Windows 95A will have a number listed in the "System" section as 4.00.950 without any suffix letters. After running the Installation Essentials CD-ROM, but before physically installing the modem into your computer, run this file and then continue the installation. If your modem is already installed in your PC, remove it's settings from Windows before running this file. Check the Device Manager for a possible Other Devices category containing a PCI card listing. If the PCI card is listed, remove it. Also, in the Device Manager, look for a Modem category and remove any entries listed under it that are not in the system. Restart the computer to install the modem.
